The name for Manuka honey has been standardized. According to an agreement reached in autumn 2014 between beekeepers, exporters, and the New Zealand Ministry of Agriculture, Manuka honey will be given a uniform international name in the future:
Manuka honey = regular manuka honey with at least 60% manuka pollen content. Manuka honey with tested methyl glyoxal content: Manuka honey MG 600+.
