Regular price CHF 6.50The Datterino tomato originates from Sicily. These very small, elongated, deep red, glossy tomatoes resemble small dates in shape, hence the name "date tomato." The true specialty of the Datterino tomato, however, lies in its exciting flavor profile and pronounced sweetness. It can achieve a much higher level of sweetness than conventional tomato varieties. To further enhance this typicality, Peter van Nahmen, together with passionate spice miller Ingo Holland, developed the addition of a small dosage of salt. The choice fell on genuine "Sylt Sea Salt," sourced from Alexandro Pape's salt factory. Black Kerala pepper from Ingo Holland, Altes Gewürzamt, provides a well-rounded flavor experience and a delicate spice.
