bouquet | The city of Lausanne is the proud owner of this steep, elevated vineyard. The wine is sold annually at a public auction. Clos des Moines is spectacularly situated on the steep slopes of the Dézaley appellation in Lavaux. This appellation (along with Calamine) is the only one in Lavaux permitted to bear the designation "Grand Cru." This Chasselas has aromas of linden blossom, a hint of pineapple, and flint. On the palate, it is complex, aromatic, creamy, and has a fine, mineral, long finish. |
Fits | Aperitif pastries, freshwater fish with cream sauce, cheese platter |
