After 20 years of experience in the Ribera del Duero, the two Navarro Balbás brothers founded the Nabal winery in the heart of the region, in Gumiel de Izán. Ribera del Duero is a very diverse region in terms of topography and soil, with a hot, continental climate, but with sufficient rainfall of 400 to 600 mm per year. In 2012, the region was voted the best wine region in the world by Wine Enthusiast. Tempranillo dominates the vineyards. Star oenologist Oscar Navarro enjoys a beautiful, church-like wine cellar. Wine tourism is also available upon request.
Tasting notes
Aromas of ripe, dark cherries and blueberries, delicate licorice, and roasted cocoa. A very complex and powerful palate, with ripe and round tannins and plenty of fruity texture. A long, aromatic finish with subtle roasted aromas.
