Produced in Berlingen, Germany, the gin is a tribute to King Frederick of Prussia. He introduced the potato to Germany, which is why the makers chose to make the base alcohol from potatoes.

From legend to glass. This German dry gin made from potato alcohol was named Windspiel in honor of Frederick the Great. The company was founded in 2014 by Sandra Wimmeler, Denis Lönnendonker, and Tobias Schwoll and is based in Duan, Germany.
