For this Branco, Susana Esteban discovered an old, low-yielding mixed vineyard in Portalegre, located in the São Mamede Mountains, where traditional Portuguese grape varieties thrive. This fresh yet intense wine is the result of its age, location, and particularly cool microclimate.
Clear golden yellow. Intense lemon aromas and nuances of dry straw permeate the nose. On the palate, it presents itself as elegant, mineral, and very complex, with aromas of citrus fruits, vineyard peaches, and white flowers. The crisp acidity is well integrated and offers a long, concentrated finish.
About Susana Esteban
Top-quality, traditional vineyards in the Portalegre region. After more than 10 years as a winemaker in the Douro and Alentejo, the Spaniard began her own project and was named Best Winemaker of the Year by Revista dos Vinhos in 2012. Her authentic wines, made from indigenous grape varieties, are rather atypical for the region: cool, fresh, mineral, complex, and delicately fruity.
