Subject to change of vintage!
For two years, she searched throughout the Alentejo for the perfect vineyard. And now she's found it. The combination of two different plots has resulted in a unique wine. Alicante Bouschet, grown on slate-rich soils near Évora, and various grape varieties from a traditional vineyard in Portalegre, located in a much cooler region, produce this wine with incredible freshness and complexity.
Dark red in color. Fruity and intense, yet without any trace of overripeness, it displays intriguing tobacco leaf notes, pencil lead, and a powerful minerality that blends with a light vegetative sensation that adds tension and complexity. Powerful yet sharp, with a strong yet delicate tannin finish, and a fresh and powerful finish.
About Susana Esteban
Top-quality, traditional vineyards in the Portalegre region. After more than 10 years as a winemaker in the Douro and Alentejo, the Spaniard began her own project and was named Best Winemaker of the Year by Revista dos Vinhos in 2012. Her authentic wines, made from indigenous grape varieties, are rather atypical for the region: cool, fresh, mineral, complex, and delicately fruity.
