The Ferruggini Bolgheri Rosso DOC is the entry-level wine from the Chiappini winery and presents an intense, fruity bouquet of red fruits: red cherry, cranberry, and currant are immediately recognizable. These are paired with aromas of black tea extract, orange zest, black pepper, and Mediterranean herbs. On the palate, this Ferruggini wine is fruity and medium-bodied. It is vinified exclusively in stainless steel, making it a soft, elegant everyday wine whose carefree and uncomplicated nature makes it a pleasure to drink and an ideal accompaniment to pasta and meat dishes of traditional Tuscany.

About Giovanni Chiappini
The Chiappini family owns 27 hectares of land, 15 of which are planted with vines and the rest with olive trees. Average wine production does not exceed 80,000 bottles per year. The high quality of their terroir is no surprise; their immediate neighbors are Ornellaia to the north, Le Macchiole to the west, and one of Sassicaia's original hillside vineyards to the east. A provenance that couldn't be better! One of the region's best-kept secrets is the Chiappini family's small organic winery! The Chiappini family's Azienda Agrigola is a small family-run business, certified 100% organic, producing top-quality Bordeaux-style red wines. And, they cost a fraction of the price of some of their more famous neighbors. Chiappini was one of the original wineries in the Bolgheri area. When Giovanni Chiappini bought his first piece of land from Ludovico Antinori in 1978, there were no more than seven or eight wine producers in the region. Today, there are over 60!
