From the heart of the enchanting Bolgheri region, Giovanni Chiappino's Felciaino Bolgheri Rosso is a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, and just a hint of Sangiovese. In the glass, it captivates with a beautiful, intense ruby red color; its bouquet is dominated by juicy red fruits, with hints of spice that lend it complexity and richness. On the palate, it is structured and balanced. An excellent drink for immediate consumption, but also with great ageing potential.
About Giovanni Chiappini
The Chiappini family owns 27 hectares of land, 15 of which are planted with vines and the rest with olive trees. Average wine production does not exceed 80,000 bottles per year. The high quality of their terroir is no surprise; their immediate neighbors are Ornellaia to the north, Le Macchiole to the west, and one of Sassicaia's original hillside vineyards to the east. A provenance that couldn't be better! One of the region's best-kept secrets is the Chiappini family's small organic winery! The Chiappini family's Azienda Agrigola is a small family-run business, certified 100% organic, producing top-quality Bordeaux-style red wines. And, they cost a fraction of the price of some of their more famous neighbors. Chiappini was one of the original wineries in the Bolgheri area. When Giovanni Chiappini bought his first piece of land from Ludovico Antinori in 1978, there were no more than seven or eight wine producers in the region. Today, there are over 60!
