The flagship Hess wine from Napa Valley, California. The grapes thrive in the southern part of Napa Valley at altitudes of 182–340 meters above sea level. Decant the Cabernet Sauvignon one hour before consumption, allowing the wine to breathe and develop its full bouquet. Red and black fruits like raspberries and cherries provide a wonderfully fruity opening. The palate is rounded off with notes of dark chocolate, cream cheese, and a subtle oak spice. A wine with great ageing potential.
About Hess Collection
Donald Hess grew up in Bern. After a successful career with a brewery and Valser water, he sold it and invested in wineries in California and Argentina. The Hess Collection winery in California is located on Mount Vedeer, where Donald Hess originally searched for water and discovered wine in 1978. Today, the winery is run by his daughter Sabrina and son-in-law Tim. The high elevation guarantees a very special microclimate with cooler slopes and often some fog in the mornings. From the beginning, the Hess family was a pioneer in sustainable viticulture and was also the first winery to receive Napa Green Certification.
