This Cabernet Sauvignon offers balsamic aromas reminiscent of currants and cedar. It's an intense, full-bodied wine that can accompany an entire meal.
Allomi is located in the northern part of Napa Valley. The vineyard is named after the Spanish landowner Rancho Locoallomi, which took its name from the Patwin Native Americans. An outstanding Californian single-vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon.
The ruby-red wine displays aromas of currant and blackberry on the nose, along with balsamic notes. Cedarwood, mushrooms, and some vegetal notes are also evident. On the palate, the rather full-bodied wine impresses with its surprisingly velvety structure.
About Hess Collection
Donald Hess grew up in Bern. After a successful career with a brewery and Valser water, he sold it and invested in wineries in California and Argentina. The Hess Collection winery in California is located on Mount Vedeer, where Donald Hess originally searched for water and discovered wine in 1978. Today, the winery is run by his daughter Sabrina and son-in-law Tim. The high elevation guarantees a very special microclimate with cooler slopes and often some fog in the mornings. From the beginning, the Hess family was a pioneer in sustainable viticulture and was also the first winery to receive Napa Green Certification.
