A classic terrace wine: Its captivating aromas let you practically smell the summer. The North Coast, with its mild Mediterranean climate, is an ideal home for this New World wine; comparable to the style in New Zealand.
This wine displays the typical gooseberry and grapefruit aromas of Sauvignon Blanc, along with citrus nuances and the scent of a green meadow. On the palate, it confirms its freshness and lightness.
Hess Collection
Donald Hess grew up in Bern. After a successful career with a brewery and Valser water, he sold it and invested in wineries in California and Argentina. The Hess Collection winery in California is located on Mount Vedeer, where Donald Hess originally searched for water and discovered wine in 1978. Today, the winery is run by his daughter Sabrina and son-in-law Tim. The high elevation guarantees a very special microclimate with cooler slopes and often some fog in the mornings. From the beginning, the Hess family was a pioneer in sustainable viticulture and was also the first winery to receive Napa Green Certification.
