Discover the non-alcoholic, dark "Freefall" with a spicy, full-bodied and malty aroma.
Are you ready to go?

Impression: Strong alternative to other non-alcoholic beers, stands out due to its complexity and pleasant bitterness.

Sensory notes: Dark amber, slight yeast cloudiness, creamy foam; aromas of toasted bread, biscuit, roasted aromas, soft, round mouthfeel, medium sweetness, offset by a pleasantly distinct bitterness. A pleasant, restrained bitterness due to the oat content.

Story

Säntis Race 1935–1977

The Säntis Race was always a huge spectacle. From the start, right next to the Alter Säntis mountain inn at 2,500 meters above sea level, the race descended steeply to the "Chärren" (mountain huts) at the very back of the Meglisalp. The Säntis Race was first held in 1935 by the Brülisau Ski Club. The volunteers were taken by post bus early in the morning, usually on Whit Monday, first to the Capuchin monastery for the 5:00 a.m. mass and then to the Säntis cable car on the Schwägalp. They then set out a giant slalom down to the Meglisalp. One piste was not groomed. Deep ditches quickly developed in the slushy spring snow. Due to the difficult snow conditions, the race was notorious. It always demanded good technique, strength, and self-confidence from the participants. Some, like Dumeng Giovanoli from Pontresina, launched their international ski racing careers here. Others paid for their courage and daredevilry with broken bones. After a fatal accident in the 1970s, and because fewer and fewer people were willing to take the risk of participating in this racing inferno, the Säntis Race was discontinued. Memories remain, including the legendary ranking announcements on the Meglisalp against a magnificent backdrop. The descent to Wasserauen is said to have often dragged on for many. The words of the famous Innerrhoden Ratzliedli also remain: "The Säntis Race did not take place..."
